This is a super-chill vacation, fitting for a getaway to Cancun. Hang out at the beach everyday and go to a different bar every night. Every night we went to clubs or bars through resort-provided transportation. You pay a fixed fee and you get free drinks all night once you get to the club/bar. Paying tips to your waiter is highly recommended. You however have to take your own taxi or bus back. Taxis run about 10 bucks, a bus ride costs about 65 cents per person but buses stop operating after a certain time so if you’re coming home late, a taxi is the best option.

Fat Tuesday's details

Fat Tuesday, the official place for Spring Break and the house of Daiquiries. Here you will dance all night on the beach at the sound of the latest music. A tradition in Cancun, a place to visit to get the best memories of your stay in Mexico.
The biggest daiquiries, bikini contest on the beach, and a great variety of premium frozen drinking products available from noon until dawn. The parties are wild. MTv used it as its headquarters for Sprink Break during many years. Expect to party for hours surrounded by a few hundreds of people! Fat Tuesday is more than a tradition in Cancun, it opened its doors in 1992. A place everyone has to visit at least once.

Fat Tuesday is located right on the beach on Km 6.5 of the Hotel Zone. You can easily locate the place as it is very close the enormous Mexican Flag waving as a landmark, visible from every point in the Hotel Zone. You can see it miles away.

Tips:

As it is located on the beach, bring your towels, suntan lotion and you will be on your way to one of the best parties ever.

Chichen Itza details

Chichen Itza was the mayor city of the Post classic Maya. It was a place for mystery and magic, and power so pervasive , that centuries after its decline it was considered holy. Monumental architecture marks the center of a city that in its day covered more than 25 sq kilometers.

You can travel to Chichen-Itza by daily travel agency tours (about $370 pesos, some tours include meals), rental car, or public bus lines that leave approximately every hour. If you do stay, be sure to enjoy the wonderful Light & Sound Show that is held every evening.

La Boom details

La Boom is the place to dance to Techno music at its best, bikini contests, male hot body contest, and all the type of party everybody wants in the perfect place to have a good time. It is famous for its London red buses (pictures). You will see them travelling aroud the Hotel Zone at night. You can expect a large crowd, expecially on weekends and it is usually crowded during Sprink Break.

For more than 15 years, La Boom has been the place to go when visiting Cancun. It´s located at Km 3.5 of the Hotel Zone. You can take any bus in the Hotel Zone, they all make a stop at La Boom; or you can ask any taxi driver. La Boom opens its doors at 10:00pm everyday.

Isla de Mujeres details

Definitely a trip worth your while! This min-paradise was so relaxing, probably one of the few times where my husband actually had a moment of relaxation in our busy Cancun vacation. It is called “Island of the Women” in English because legend says, when it was discovered there were several statues of women on the island. Many tour companies offer a day trip on this island and most offer a lunch buffet. We took our tour with AquaWorld. The trip we went on included a seal show and a parrot show which was a lot of fun. You can also go on an optional golf ride tour of the island for a small fee, about $12 (highly recommended so you can see more of the island). Be sure to get your picture taken with the shark, and check out the turtle farm for about 2 bucks entrance fee/donation. We also took another snorkeling tour while we were there, which was way better than the first one we had during the Jungle Tour. Overall, a very enjoyable day.

Every night BULLDOG CAFEâ Cancun will surprise clients and friends with innovative shows and the latest music with fashionable rhythms such as rock, hip hop, pop, alternative music, salsa and of course the international top 10
it happened to be Mexican Independence day so there were live performances such as a Mariachi band; an improvised cock fight (that’s two roosters, i believe, that are pitted against one another for the crowd’s entertainment); and a cover band playing anything from U2 to linkin park to tons of Mexican anthems/songs; and of course music playing from the sound system.
