A really great place to go pick-your-own Apple Picking. Not only do they have apples, but they also have a pumpkin patch around Halloween/Thanksgiving time. Lots of varieties of apples to choose from.
About an hour and a half car ride from New York City.

FROM NORTH JERSEY –
Garden State Parkway South to Exit 109 (Red Bank).
After exit, turn right at light onto Newman Springs Road.
Go to third light, turn left onto Phalanx Road.
Go about 1.5 miles to first light and make a left onto Laird Road.
Go to the end of Laird Road and make a right onto Route 537.
Our entrance will be your first right, by the flagpole.
FROM SOUTH JERSEY –
Garden State Parkway North to Exit 98 (Route 34.)
Take Route 34 North to Route 537 East (Colts Neck.)
Turn right onto Route 537 East.
Our entrance will be on the left, 1 mile down by the flagpole.
FROM STATEN ISLAND –
Outer Bridge Crossing to Route 9 South.
From Route 9, take Route 34 South.
Take Route 34 South to Route 537 East.
Turn left onto Route 537 East at the traffic light.
Our entrance will be on the left, 1 mile down by the flagpole.

This is a great place to find some of the freshest food and produce in New Jersey. It is also a very delightful store, with a small cafe outside that serves soup in a breadbowl and apple cider.

From the North & the Garden State Parkway:
Take the Garden State Parkway South to exit 109. After the exit, turn right onto Route 520 West (Newman Springs Road). Proceed to 3rd light. Turn left onto Phalanx Road. Proceed approximately 4 miles. Turn left onto Route 34 South to Delicious Orchards – 1 mile to traffic light. 1/2 mile to second driveway on right.
From the South:
Take the Garden State Parkway North to exit 105. Take Route 18 North to Route 34 North. Take Route 34 to Delicious Orchards, approximately one half mile on your left.
From the West:
Take Route 537 East to Route 34. Turn right on Route 34 South to Delicious Orchards 1/2 mile to second driveway on right.

The local favorite is the Apple Cider Doughnuts.
