Take Highway 101 South to Highway 156/Monterey Peninsula exit.
Follow Highway 156 to Castroville/Highway 1 South.
Follow Highway 1 South approximately 18 miles and take the 68 West (Pebble Beach/Pacific Grove) exit.
At the exit, go straight across through the traffic light, then bear right to the Pebble Beach entry gate.

there’s a 17-mile drive in pebble beach too, if you care to pay money to ogle rich people’s houses… not for me but maybe for you?

The City of Carmel-by-the-Sea curves around the bay of pristine Carmel Beach. Visitors are most likely to walk downhill on Ocean Avenue, the main street that bisects the village east to west. However, residents usually walk to the beach down other streets including 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, Santa Lucia and Martin Way where stairs lead to the beach. Strolling along Scenic Road, a wide landscaped walkway along the shore, is a favorite place to walk or jog.

bring a blanket to sit down on and relax and cuddle =) there’s a great area to shop and walk around near there too, i especially like going for the candy places, yummmm chocolate…

great place to spend a whole day. great exhibits including kelp forest, jellyfish exhibit, deep sea exhibit, coral reef exhibit as well as whatever show is in the auditorium. there’s a kiddie area for kids to learn about ,and touch pools where you can touch stingrays, baby sharks, starfish, etc.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is located in Monterey at the west end of historic Cannery Row, just minutes from Carmel and Pebble Beach. Monterey is approximately 125 miles (208 km) south of San Francisco and 360 miles (600 km) north of Los Angeles.

plan to spend a whole day… but definitely try to get the two days for the price of one ticket from your hotel (ask if they have it), gotta remember you have to pay cash for this deal.
