The Boston Globe is the largest circulating newspaper in the city. Take this 80-minute guided half-land, half-water tour of the great city of Boston. Take note: if you want to smoke a cigar you brought with you, there’s a $10 “lighting fee.” That’s how Cigar Masters, open from 10 a.m. to midnight, helps keep the revenue split on the right side of the smoking laws.

Best place for a delightful stroll down this 8-block strip of boutiques, restaurants, shops, cafes and pubs. On warm weekends people fill the sidewalks with window shoppers and overflowing outdoor cafes. Much of the brownstone architecture you see is inspired by the Art Nouveau architectural movement during the 1920’s. Really enjoyable strip to walk, talk, shop and dine.

Intersection of Newbury Street and Exeter Street

This waterfront landmark is one of Boston’s most popular tourist attractions, and rightfully so. Situated along the beautiful Boston waterfront, the aquarium features a gigantic 200,000-gallon “Giant Ocean Tank” that is a simulated Caribbean coral reef including everything from sharks, eels, sea turtles to amazing coral rocks and critters. Beacon Hill is one of Boston’s most charming and historic neighborhoods and also the home to generations of the city’s intellectuals, statesmen, and artisans. Highlights along the cobblestone street include “The Hill” at the State House (also the beginning of the Freedom Trail), Boston Common with the nation’s oldest urban park and various cafes, boutiques and unique shops. Delightful place to spend a couple hours looking around.

In 1640 Boston Common became America’s first park, it was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. This park was once used by British soldiers during the Revolutionary War. Highlights include a an awesome Frog Pond which serves as an ice skating rink during the winter. Checkout the Massachusetts State House and Beacon Hill located on either side of the park.

The home of the 2004 World Championship Boston Red Sox. Originally opened in 1912, Fenway Park now stands as America’s oldest major league ballpark. The trademark 37-foot high left field wall (known as the ‘Green Monster’) and manually operated scoreboard is simply a must see for any casual or avid baseball fan. The structure is continually going through renovations, improvements, and expansions. Guided tours are available for those unable to attend a ballgame from May through September. Tip: good seats for games may be difficult to come by, especially if the Yankees (do you mean Spankees??) are in town.
