General Directions:

The Orchard is just steps from the Powell Street cable car line, two blocks from the shopping mecca of Union Square and mid way up Nob Hill…in the midst of the pulse of San Francisco.

Directions from SFO Airport:
Take 101 north all the way into downtown San Francisco. As you enter downtown, stay in left lanes on 101 north, towards Golden Gate Bridge. Take the 9th Street exit, which exits right onto 9th Street. Stay in center or right lanes as you pass over Market Street. 9th becomes Larkin Street. Go up 11 blocks to Bush Street, make a right, go six blocks and cross Powell Street. We are the second building on the right side.

Tips:

The Orchard is within walking distance of Chinatown and Union Square. The Powell/Hyde Trolley is right on the corner so you can grab it or get off right by the hotel.

The hotel even has a DVD library you can use for free.

If you decide to do Napa Valley and are looking at the motorcoach option, it is better to just rent one of the limo cars associated with the hotel. They are $50 an hour, compared to the coach which was 115 per person. Combine that and for two people you can have up to 5-6 hours of a small limo drive you from winery to windery.
