The lake itself and surrounding area is very traditional but on a large ‘central park’ type scale. The natural setting of picturesque mountaintops, peaceful forests and springs, dense forestry and countless flowers especially in springtime brings chills.
The lake is comprised of five distinct sections. The largest part is known as the Outer Lake and it is bounded by the North Inner Lake, Yuehu Lake, West Inner Lake and Lesser South Lake. Scenic hilly mountain tops on three sides surround the area. Visitors come see this water paradise that has been an attraction for ages. The average depth of the lake is just five feet.
