Truly bonafide pool hall and one of the best and most competitive in the East Bay. USPPA tournaments are held here weekly. I would guess around 18-20 tables with a couple snooker tables. If you’re looking for a bit of action, you should be able to find some here on the right night. Full bar with some small round tables to socialize at. Food can be purchased from their kitchen or from the large food court “Public Market” that is located right next door.
I once saw Jeanette “Black Widow” Lee play in a fairly large tournment at the Broken Rack a long time ago.

General Directions:

I-80 going East. Exit Powell Street/Emeryville. Go east after you exit towards the movie theatres. Make a left turn when you see the Shell Gas Station. Drive a couple blocks and you will see the large UA Theatre. Park in the lot and go towards the “Public Market” food court area. The Broken Rack is right next door to the Public Market.

Tips:

• Rates are on average $6-7 per person/per hour depending on the night. For groups of 3-6 people rates are $12-17 depending on the night. Mondays is College Night and Wednesdays is Ladies Night. Check the website for details.
  
• Kitchen hours are 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
  
• Small private room available for parties of 10 guests or less: $30 per/hour.
