Chinatown Mall
This is not a real “Chinatown,” but instead it is a block-sized shopping mall. A very popular attraction visited by tourists and used regularly by the Asian community. Visitors enter the area under a Chinese gateway leading to a two-story strip mall. One could expect to find shops of authentic Asian furniture, herbalists, books, artwork and markets stocking live seafood and fresh meats.
The strip mall was conceived by Taiwanese American developer James Chih-Cheng Chen, and opened in 1995. Nevada Governor Kenny Guinn officially designated the area as Chinatown in October 1999.
