The best gelato in the Bay Area. Period.
Perfect texture. Intense flavor. Freshly made daily. Standouts on the gelato side include Nutella, Panna Cotta, Espresso and Cassata. If you like black licorice, you will be reach nirvana… I’m not a fan of black licorice but I tasted the gelato and have to say that it is the epitome of black licorice which for some folks, oddly enough, is a good thing. The sorbettos are unbelievable. For my vegan friends, this place is heaven because they taste so creamy yet they have no dairy in them at all. Watermelon, Grapefruit, and Lemon are my favorite combo. Pineapple is great, too. For the first time in my life I think I’d pick sorbetto over gelato. . .the sorbettos are that good. The textures are so perfect on both the gelato and sorbetto. . .especially the sorbetto . . .incredible!
This place is not cheap but you get what you pay for and it is the best. People keep commenting on the decor (or lack thereof) but I get it. . .it’s so all about the product, something I can appreciate. Staff is friendly and will let you taste anything you’d like. I went with a bunch of friends one night and while we ordered half the case, the girl behind the counter brought us little bites of flavors we hadn’t ordered but thought we might like to try. Nice!
Must try for any ice cream or gelato lover…
