Located in the center of Tiananmen Square, Mao’s Mausoleum was built in 1976 shortly after his death. Visitors are actually allowed to briefly see the actual mummified corpse of Mao Zedong. Mao was the main head figure during the Communist Revolution of China in 1949. No Admission.
