Wow, what a memorable trip. Thanks for sharing. China is changing rapidly with its economic growth and improvement in highways and transportation. I was always impressed with the city roads where there would be three sections, a wide pedestrian walkway, a safe zone for bicyclists and a lane (or two) for cars. Very often the divider of the road would be landscaped with bonsai trees and local historical markers.
Posted 597 days ago.Great Susan, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the streets are notably wide (and scenic) because of the large and much needed bicycle lanes. Driving around in China is totally crazy also… thanks for your comments, and I’m still trying to find some pictures so check back in soon!
